About the work

This timber stool, with its geometric-shaped seat and three legs, is constructed from plywood and domestic objects including broom stick handles, and finished in red hard wax oil.

Origin & Transformation

This seat had its origins in discarded domestic objects: plywood, discarded tool handles and broomsticks. The bold red hard wax oil finish contrasts the humble, domestic origins. The design was created and constructed in the studio by Holly Kay Parsons.
